Classic Romance: White & Gold

Crisp white linens paired with gold accented chairs set the stage for a romantic affair. Gold and white is one of the timeless wedding themes that exude sophistication and purity. It creates an atmosphere that transcends trends and stands the test of time.

Opt for mainly round tables with a top trestle table to create a focal point for the bride and groom. Depending on the size of the venue and the number of guests, aim for 8-10 tables, with each table accommodating 8-10 guests. Make sure not to overcrowd the venue. This can happen by cramming guests on tables or adding too many tables for the available space. Also, avoid doing the opposite and add too few tables, because this will prevent the warm intimate feel.

Positioning & Sizing –

Arrange the tables in a symmetrical fashion, creating a focal point at the top of the venue for the bride and groom’s table. Ensure there is ample space for a central dance floor or other key elements you may wish to have. In most cases, the round tables to go for would be our 6ft round tables, because these sit 8-10 for dining. For the top table, we would go with two of our 6ft trestles put together in a line. This would allow seating for 6 and would be where the bride and groom would sit because it would be the focus point. Nevertheless, this can be altered to your liking or to fit with the space available. For all the tables you will need ice white linen. For sizing guides on the linen check out our ‘sizing and layouts guide’ page.

So, for the ‘Classic Romance’ theme, the equipment needed to hire would be: Gold Meecham’s, 6ft Rounds, 2 x 6ft Trestles and Ice white linen (118″ for the rounds and 70″ x 108″ for the trestles). The sizing of the tables and quantity of items is completely down to you and your needs, but remember the sizes of linen will change accordingly.

Rustic Charm: Wooden

Bring the warmth of the countryside to your wedding by selecting the wooden elements we have to offer. Wedding themes that bring a warm, cosy ambience are full of joy and suit old venues. Our rustic trestle table, oak cross-backs or lime Chiavari and the hessian table runner are just what you need to dress your venue with this theme. Furthermore, you can add centrepieces such as flowers to add a touch of beauty and elevate your table.

Quantity –

Opt for our rustic trestle table and depending on the size of the venue aim for 8-10 tables. Our rustic trestle tables seat 6 people (3 on either side). This means that you will need 6 chairs per table. Pairing with these tables, select one of our table runners – hessian or cheesecloth – per table. In our experience the hessian table runner compliments the rustic table more, however, the cheesecloth may better suit some people’s preferences. In addition, adding some nice centrepieces to the table helps elevate the venue and add character to the table.

Position & Sizing –

Again, you could arrange the tables in a symmetrical layout, with the rustic in a couple of long rows and then a top table in the top middle of these rows. This will draw attention to the bride and groom’s table and create a nice atmosphere for your wedding. Alternatively, you can position the tables to create a U-shape for a more intimate atmosphere. Our rustic trestle tables are 6ft x 3ft, which means that they sit 6 people (due to nobody being able to sit at the ends). If you have lots of guests and not enough space, you can add a mix of 6ft round tables and linen. This will add variety to your venue and by no means is a bad alternative to the other layouts.

So for our ‘Rustic Charm’ theme, the equipment needed will be Oak cross-backs or lime Chiavari, 6ft x 3ft rustic trestle tables and Hessian or cheesecloth table runners. Optional additions/alternatives: 6ft rounds & white linen.

Vintage Glam:

Step back in time with our vintage glam wedding theme. This theme incorporates round tables, limewash Chiavari chairs and ice-white or ivory linen. To enhance this theme you can add centrepieces such as candleholders to add a touch of old-world to the celebration.

Quantity –

We recommend opting for round tables draped in ivory or white linen. In proportion to your guest list and venue size, we aim for 8 to 10 tables. Additionally, you will need one tablecloth per table and 8-10 chairs per table. If you are including centrpieces be sure to get the right amount for your tables.

Positioning & Sizing –

For vintage wedding themes, positioning your tables in a circular or horseshoe arrangement is common and adds a warm, friendly feel. Also, this leaves room for a central focal point such as a grand entrance or a dance floor. The sizing for the tables will vary depending on your space but aim for 6ft rounds. These accommodate 8-10 people for dining. To pair with the 6ft rounds, we recommend 118″ round linen in your chosen colour. However if you like your linen dropped to the floor, our 130″ linen would be for you.

So, for our ‘Vintage Glam’ theme, the equipment you will need to hire would be: limewash Chiavari’s, 6ft rounds, 118″ linen (ivory or white) and then centrepieces you wish to add. Optional alternatives are: 130″ linen or Gold Meecham chairs.

Conclusion:

In crafting the perfect wedding ambience, the choice of tables, chairs and linen is not only about aesthetics but also about creating the perfect environment for your guests. Wedding themes and the layout of your venue can enhance your venue and create the perfect wedding for you and your guests.
